Raise a mug and say “Prost!” The Vancouver Christmas Market & European Village is back for its 16th season, returning to its home at Jack Poole Plaza on Vancouver’s downtown waterfront from November 16 to December 24. This year brings the most significant evolution in the Market’s history — a new visual identity and six new signature experiences alongside the original-recipe Glühwein, authentic Bavarian bratwurst, and more than 90 artisan huts guests have come to expect.
Since 2010, the Vancouver Christmas Market has transported guests into an authentic European winter village in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Founded by German-born Malte Kluetz, who grew up with the traditions of the German Weihnachtsmärkte, the Market has evolved from a seasonal shopping destination into the city’s premier winter night out — Vancouver’s longest-running and largest Christmas market. Colourful hand-crafted huts, live entertainment beneath the three-storey glowing Pyramid, and a full European culinary experience create the atmosphere for everything from a quick lunch or after-work drinks to a full night out with friends and family.
