In Europe, a Christmas market isn't just a place to shop and eat — it's a winter village where people gather to eat, drink, and celebrate centuries-old traditions. The Vancouver Christmas Market & European Village brings that genuine heritage to Jack Poole Plaza, with authentic wooden architecture, festive entertainment, and experiences for every age.
2026 marks the most significant evolution in the Market's history. New this season: the Wishing Forest, the Secret Wall Cocktail Hut, the Fire Pit Lounge, new German Village facades at the entrance, and a limited-edition Collectable Mug — alongside a new visual identity and all your returning favourites, including the Pyramid, the Carousel, vintage Alley Press photo prints, and Snow Showers every 30 minutes.
The 2026 Market runs November 16 – December 24, across 39 market days.
- November 16 – December 3: Monday–Friday 4:00–9:30pm · Saturday–Sunday 11:30am–9:30pm
- December 4 – December 18: Sunday–Thursday 11:30am–9:30pm · Friday–Saturday 11:30am–10:00pm

The Vancouver Christmas Market is at Jack Poole Plaza — home to the Olympic Cauldron — at 1055 Canada Place, on Vancouver's downtown waterfront, just outside the Convention Centre.

Jack Poole Plaza is a short walk from Waterfront Station, with multiple bus routes stopping nearby — no car needed to get there from downtown Vancouver.
Return as many times as you like with a Season Pass. Perks include unlimited visits during your pass dates, no time-slot booking required, and a priority entrance lane for pass holders.

Please Note: all passes are non-transferable and require a government-issued ID matching the name on the pass. Kids 6 and under are always free.
When you secure your ticket to the Vancouver Christmas Market: A European Village, your admission is more than just a gate entry—it is a proud promise of a curated, unhurried winter experience on the downtown waterfront. Once you step inside, you are welcome to stay as long as you wish and enjoy several of our most iconic activations at no extra cost.
What is Included in Your Ticket:
- Unlimited Carousel Rides: Guests of all ages can enjoy unlimited spins on our nostalgic, waterfront Christmas Carousel.
- Santa’s Workshop & Photo Opportunities: Keep an eye out for Santa or one of our special holiday characters throughout the season. You may spot the Grinch, Elsa, Jack Frost, the Polar Bear, the Gingerbread Man, and our beloved mascots, Holly & Jolly around the Market. On Sundays, enjoy free storytelling with Mrs. Claus.
- Live Shows & Entertainment: Entertainment is built in throughout your visit: the Prost Show at 7pm, and Snow Showers every 30 minutes.
- Cinematic Sights: Walk through the dazzling Pyramid and tree lights. Watch the giant 35-foot Christmas Tree light show, wander beneath the illuminated canopy of Lovers' Lane, and experience the spectacular Snow Showers falling every 30 minutes.
- Artisan Shopping: Handcrafted treasures, winter keepsakes, and beautiful holiday gifts from over 90 of our authentic wooden huts.
- New 2026 Activations: Access interactive new zones like the Wishing Forest to leave your holiday wishes, gather around the crackling open flames at the Fire Pit Lounge, and pick up a free on-site vintage photo printout at Alley Press to remember your night.
- A Warm Welcome: Enjoy a sweet candy cane giveaway as an arrival ritual the moment you enter the village.
Please note that food and beverages, handcrafted treasures from our artisan huts, specialty holiday workshops, and premium ticketed experiences (such as Breakfast with Santa) are not included in your admission ticket and are available for purchase, or require separate bookings.
The ticket price funds a curated, managed environment — more than 90 premium vendor and artisan huts, controlled capacity so there's no overcrowding, and entertainment programming included at every visit. Multiple price tiers, starting at $7.99, create access points for every budget, and kids 6 and under are always free.
Time slots help manage capacity so every visit feels spacious, not crowded. When you book online, you'll choose a 30-minute arrival window for your chosen date. Arrive within that window for smooth entry — once you're in, stay as long as you'd like. If you miss your window by a few minutes, just join the line for the next available slot, capacity permitting.
No — kids under 6 join the Market free, no ticket required.
Return your unused tickets for store credit, then purchase a Season Pass.
If you have a Showpass account: Log in → My Orders → Order Options under your ticket → Return your ticket → Purchase a Season Pass.
If you checked out as a guest: Open your confirmation email → click Connect Purchase → log in or create an account with the same email → My Orders → exchange for a new ticket type.
Please note: exchanges must happen up to 2 hours before your reserved time slot, exchange credits expire after 1 hour, and you can only exchange for tickets of equal or greater value. Complimentary, transferred, or free tickets aren't eligible, and there are no refunds. You can also upgrade in person at the Info Booth.
Season Pass tickets must match the name and government-issued ID of the ticket holder. To request a name change, get in touch with our guest services team. We can only update passes that haven't been used yet.
No. General Admission tickets don't need to match the ticket holder's name, and photo ID isn't checked at the entrance — so a ticket bought under your name works fine for a friend. Name-matching only applies to Season Passes.
Yes — your ticket can be exchanged for another available date or time for a service fee (pricing varies by ticket type). You must exchange your full order — individual tickets within an order can't be split out — and only one exchange can be in progress at a time. Temporary exchange credits are valid for 1 hour before reverting to your original purchase. Exchanges must be initiated before your time slot begins, and there are no refunds.
Yes, though booking ahead has real advantages: you lock in your preferred time slot, get early-bird rates instead of Day-Of pricing, and skip the Box Office line. Weekend slots can sell out — if a slot shows "Sold Out" online, it won't be available at the gate either, so it's worth checking availability before you head over.
Yes — groups of 15 or more receive 20% off admission on tickets $19.99+, Monday–Friday, plus add-ons like $5 and $10 Market tokens, beverage tokens, and branded VCM merchandise. For a full-service private event, please contact us to book.
The Market is designed for everyone — families, couples, friend groups, and solo guests all find their own way through it. For families specifically: Santa's Workshop, a market-wide passport adventure, the Christmas Carousel, and free entry for kids 6 and under.

Outside alcohol isn't permitted, but there's plenty inside: Glühwein, Spiked Apple Cider, Feuerzangenbowle, and traditional Bavarian beers. Two forms of ID are required for alcohol purchases — one government-issued photo ID, plus a second like a credit card. Pre-packaged alcohol is available for purchase but can't be consumed on-site.
The Pyramid is the Market's three-storey centrepiece, with a Glühwein bar on the ground floor and live music on top — the setting for the daily Prost Show at 7pm daily, plus the Pyramid Light Sync.
Yes — there’s daily entertainment across the Market, with live music on our three stages: the Pyramid Stage, Strasbourg Stage, and Munich Stage, plus roaming holiday characters throughout the season. Guests can also enjoy the Prost Show at 7pm and Snow Showers every 30 minutes. 2026 performer and entertainment details will be announced soon.
First, check your spam folder for an email from Showpass — tickets sometimes land there. Still missing? Submit a request through our contact form with the name, email, and phone number used for your purchase.
We recommend going cashless for convenience — The Box Office and all alcohol huts are cashless — credit and debit only. Payment methods at other vendors vary. There are no ATMs on site. The nearest are inside Waterfront Centre, across from Canada Place, or at the TD Branch at 1177 W Hastings Street.
Weekday evenings from 4pm on, and all day Friday through Sunday, tend to be busiest — especially the final week before Christmas. For a quieter visit, come earlier in the season and choose an early time slot.
For capacity and safety reasons, re-entry isn't permitted once you've exited.
Riders must be at least two years old and 36 inches (91 cm) tall — but the Carousel isn't just for kids; everyone's welcome to ride.
Service animals are welcome within the premises. However, in compliance with food and service licensing regulations, dogs of any size and other pets are not permitted in the Market area.
We do, however, have a pet accessories vendor at the Market – so you can treat your best friend to a little gift when you get home. View here!
Yes — free stroller parking is available, though it isn't attended.
Benches are placed throughout the Market, and the heated Alpen Haus offers seating. Alpen Haus in particular is a warm space to sit, socialize, and enjoy food from our vendors.
Yes! Jack Poole Plaza is considered a fully accessible venue and the Vancouver Christmas Market implements additional measures to make it even more accessible.

To enhance accessibility and ensure that everyone can enjoy our Market, we offer a caregiver-friendly policy.
When you pre-purchase your ticket, your designated caregiver does not need to pre-purchase a ticket separately. Caregivers can simply present their validation (registered caregiver card or Access 2 card, etc.) at the gate for complimentary entry.

No Pets Allowed: service animals are permitted only with supporting documents
No Sporting Goods or Equipment: includes baseball bats, helmets, hockey sticks, golf clubs, bows and arrows, camping gear, chairs, stools, tables, and frisbees.
No Outside Food or Drink: homemade food and water bottles are permitted. Exceptions apply for medical or infant needs.
No Drugs or Alcohol Allowed
No Weapons of Any Kind: includes firearms, knives, billy clubs, brass knuckles, nunchucks, pepper spray, martial arts gear, sharp tools, and similar items.
No Personal Transportation: No skateboards, scooters (motorized or not), inline skates, shoes with wheels, bicycles, motorcycles, tricycles, unicycles, pogo sticks, Segways™, or other personal transport devices.
