Soumak Boutique, founded in May 2021 by Rasha and Elvira, two passionate women from the Middle East, began as a small support project for refugee women during the Syrian crisis. Their journey highlighted the incredible potential of these artisans, leading to the creation of Soumak Boutique in Canada. They source 100% natural textiles and handwoven goods, such as Turkish towels and Kilim bags, crafted by women in marginalized Turkish villages. Additionally, they collaborate with Syrian refugees in Canada to create beautiful mosaic handicrafts and board games. Soumak Boutique not only supports these talented artisans but also promotes conscious shopping, offering unique, long-lasting products that celebrate a rich cultural heritage.
