We’re Back for the 2021 Season…
and your safety is our top priority!
Following recommendations from Vancouver Coastal Health, we’ll be adhering to the below COVID-19 protocols to keep our visitors, staff and Market partners healthy and happy:
VACCINE PASSPORTS The Vancouver Christmas Market is all about celebrating together. After a one-year hiatus, we’re keen to ensure that we can re-convene comfortably and safely. Following the Vancouver Convention Centre policy and requests from our vendors, partners, and local area businesses, we are implementing mandatory COVID-19 vaccination passport checks at the gates for all visitors aged 12 and over.
All guests visiting the Vancouver Christmas Market will have to show proof of double vaccination to gain entry.
Please have your vaccination passport and government-issued ID (aged 19 and older) ready.

PRESOLD TIMESLOTS To avoid overcrowding at the gates and inside the market, guests booking online will be asked to select a date and 30-minute timeslot during which to arrive. But not to worry: once you’ve entered the market, you can stay as long as you like!
Note: Season Pass holders will not be required to book a timeslot, but will join the next available timed-entrance line at the gate.
DISTANCING PRECAUTIONS Following Vancouver Coastal Health guidelines, we recommend that each of our guests maintain proper 6 feet spacing (or roughly 18 gingerbread men apart, head to toe).
MORE SPACE FOR EVERYONE Grab a mug of Glühwein and relax at our new-and-improved Alpine Lounge. The covered space has more than doubled to a whopping 3,800 square feet to ensure more seating for visitors, more distance between patrons, and more coverage from unfavourable weather conditions.
NEW TO-GO OPTIONS Our market organizers have added an all-new Gourmetstrasse, a dedicated street selling packaged gourmet foods for guests to enjoy in the comfort of their own homes.
EXTENDED SEASON We’ve started this year’s 2021 Market a full week earlier, so that everyone can attend. Less crowding – more Christmas joy!
ADDITIONAL PRECAUTIONS Our priority is the safety and comfort of all of our guests – it is our duty to maintain the highest standards of safety at our Market. The Vancouver Christmas Market will be abiding by the COVID-19 safety regulations put in place by the Provincial Health Officer. This means our staff, partners, and vendors will be required to comply and stay up to date with the latest in rules and recommendations provided by the authorities as well as the Vancouver Christmas Market.
We’ll keep you updated as we check in regularly with Vancouver Coastal Health. While we’re looking forward to being able to celebrate together again, the safety of our visitors and staff remains our utmost priority.
