The one and only Christmas Carousel in Downtown Vancouver can be found at the Vancouver Christmas Market. For the young and the young at heart, a Carousel is a special treat for the Christmas season, and it is SO much fun! Please note that children must be 2 years of age or older to ride the Carousel.
Have fun with our gingerbread mascots and take some pictures with the cute characters! They love kids and their hugs… Every day from at 4 pm – Holly & Jolly are on the market and are happy to dance with you on the stage!
The Vancouver Christmas Market is happy to introduce a fun and educational ‘Christmas Traditions Scavenger Hunt’ for all visiting kids. At various stations around the market we are presenting different Christmas traditions from Europe and beyond.
Depending the level of difficulty chosen, the challenge will be to find the stations and either collect individual stamps or answer questions about Christmas traditions. While adding some extra learning and fun to your visit, particpants will also have a chance to win a great prize as part of our weekly draws.
This year the market will have a marvelous tall Christmas Tree with fairy lights which creates a unique Christmas atmosphere surrounded by dozens traditional wooden booths, performance stages and festive decorations.

Christmas markets are a delightful way to begin holiday festivities. The crisp, cold air fills with the fragrance of sizzling sausages, sweet pastries, spices and hot spiced gluhwein. Booths sell sweet treats, such as chocolates, cakes, pastries, cookies and candies. Music of Christmas fills the air, in preparation for Christmas.
