A magical Christmas experience for kids of all ages
Every day, the Vancouver Christmas Market offers a variety of activities for our younger visitors. In our Kids' Market area, children can:
- Enjoy a Christmas carousel ride.
- Learn how to personalize their own ginger bread.
- Decorate a chocolate lollipop.
- Meet Holly & Jolly, our gingerbread mascots.

Ride Vancouver’s Only Christmas Carousel
The one and only Christmas Carousel in Downtown Vancouver can be found at the Vancouver Christmas Market. For the young and the young at heart, a Carousel is a special treat for the Christmas season, and it is SO much fun! Please note that children must be 2 years of age or older to ride the Carousel.
Meet Holly & Jolly, our gingerbread mascots
Have fun with our gingerbread mascots and take some pictures with the cute characters! They love kids and their hugs… Every day from at 4 pm – Holly & Jolly are on the market and are happy to dance with you on the stage!
This year the market will have a marvelous tall Christmas Tree with fairy lights which creates a unique Christmas atmosphere surrounded by dozens traditional wooden booths, performance stages and festive decorations.

Christmas markets are a delightful way to begin holiday festivities. The crisp, cold air fills with the fragrance of sizzling sausages, sweet pastries, spices and hot spiced gluhwein. Booths sell sweet treats, such as chocolates, cakes, pastries, cookies and candies. Music of Christmas fills the air, in preparation for Christmas.
